Hon. Haruna Iddrisu Pledges Full Support For 47 Medical Students In Honour Of Comrade Murtala

In a touching show of commitment to education and human development, Minister of Education Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has pledged to support 47 medical students previously cared for by Comrade Murtala, committing to see them through their studies as a lasting tribute to Murtala’s legacy of compassion and service.

Addressing attendees at a memorial gathering, Haruna Iddrisu described Comrade Murtala as a man who dedicated his life to uplifting others through opportunity and support.

He said his decision to take on the responsibility was both a personal promise and a national duty.

“These young people are the future of Ghana’s healthcare system. Comrade Murtala believed in their dreams, and I will honour his legacy by making sure they have everything they need to complete their medical training,” the Minister assured.

The pledge includes covering tuition fees, accommodation, and essential study materials, ensuring that the students can pursue their medical education without financial obstacles.
