The Ghana Police Service has successfully apprehended Enoch Asimiga, a suspect involved in a brazen robbery incident that occurred on June 13, 2025, at Wassa Nkran in the Western Region.
According to reports, Asimiga allegedly accosted a victim at gunpoint, brandishing a locally manufactured pistol, and robbed them of an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing into a nearby cocoa farm.
The swift response of the community, triggered by the victim’s distress call, played a crucial role in Asimiga’s arrest.

Upon apprehending the suspect, the police conducted a thorough search, which led to the retrieval of incriminating exhibits, including one locally manufactured pistol, one BB live cartridge, and a Samsung mobile phone.
Asimiga is currently in police custody, assisting the ongoing investigations into the matter. He is expected to be arraigned before the court to face justice.
