The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs has announced the re-nomination of four Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) by President John Dramani Mahama.
The re-nomination is in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), as amended.
The four re-nominated MDCEs are:
- Ignatius Godfred Dordoe – Shai Osudoku District Assembly
- Rudolph Collingwoode-Williams – Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly
- Michael Mensah – Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly
- Alfredos Nii Anyetei – La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly
The nominees are expected to be vetted and approved by their respective Assemblies. This process is a crucial step in ensuring that the MDCEs are fit to serve in their roles and can effectively lead their districts and municipalities.
