President John Dramani Mahama has ordered all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to declare their assets by 15th July 2025.
Addressing MMDCEs at an orientation programme in Accra on Wednesday, July 18, 2025, President Mahama reiterated the importance of transparency and accountability in public service.
“I expect that by July 15, 2025, all of you will have declared your assets,” he said.
Article 286 of the 1992 Republican Constitution of Ghana, stipulates that all public officers appointed into office must declare their assets before and after holding such office.
He warned that defaulters will face sanctions, as he did to some Ministerial appointees.
