A community nurse at the Pentecost health clinic in Kasapin, a town in the Asunuafo North in the Ahafo region is appealing to the general public for support to buy a motorbike to help him visit villages around to vaccinate children against Polio, Measles, Yellow Fever, Meningitis, Tuberculosis and more.
According to this young nurse who is extremely passionate about the job and really wants to help save lives, there are many villages he has to visit to vaccinate children against these deadly diseases but because he doesn’t have a motorbike, he is not able to do more.
In a short video posted on social media, the nurse says the facility he works has lots of challenges which make residents keeps complaining so bitterly concerning poor healthcare. He says they are trying their best but with support from the government, Non- governmental organizations and individuals they can save more lives.
He calls his project — ‘Children Lives Matter’ and indeed, a nation seeking to prosper must take health issues and wellbeing of children so seriously.
