Popular Ghanaian actor, youth mentor and entrepreneur, Adjetey Anang and his wife, Elorm have have faced lots of life challenges which could have ended their beautiful marriage, one of the most challenging phases of their lives is spending over half a decade together without a child. This is extremely frustrating in African society. It is reveled that during the sixth year of childlessness, they encountered Dr. Mensa Otabil, founder of the International Central Gospel Church.
The two considered every possibility in their quest for a child, including going to fertility clinics and placing their faith in God Almighty.
The actor on his fiftieth birthday launched a book which tells an extremely captivating story of his life journey. The book contains lots very inspiring and empowering information. He wrote about, his down moments and mistakes as a man, many of the great things has happened in his life.
In this book which is available at almost all the leading bookshops across the world, beautiful wife of the actor, Elorm narrated their unforgettable encounter with head pastor of the International Central Gospel Church, Dr. Mensa Otabil.
Elorm gave an account of what really transpired. In chapter 11 of the memoir, she that the popular pastor prophesied that they will welcome a child in their seventh year of marriage.
“Adjetey and I were in the youth ministry at the time and he had asked to see us to discuss his plans for performing arts in the church. During the meeting, he randomly asked us ‘How long have you been married’?”
“Six years,” Elom answered to which Dr Otabil responded to with another question; “So, what are the doctors saying?”
Elom says they “went on to share everything with him and he did something really special. He stopped the discussion and asked that we share a word of prayer.”
“He asked if we could agree with him that God would give us a child and we agreed. He held hands with us together and since we were three, we should agree on having a baby in the seventh year,” she added.
Elom revealed that they both agreed that she was going to have a baby in the seventh year; “That was the declaration and we all agreed upon that and prayed upon the decree.”
“The following year was the seventh and the theme for ICC that year was ‘Perfection’, perfection with reference to the number seven. And lo and behold, I conceived in the seventh year and we had our son just as we had agreed!” she shared.
As promised, Elom and Adjetey welcomed their first child, a son in their seventh year of marriage and he has since become the largest blessing in their lives.
