A-Plus signs three-year deal with multimedia group to stage mega Gomoa carnival

The Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has entered into a three-year media partnership agreement with The Multimedia Group to support his upcoming Gomoa Easter Carnival.

At the signing ceremony, A Plus expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration and shared highlights of the carnival, which is set to take place from April 2 to April 5, 2026.

“With the strength and reach of The Multimedia Group, this carnival will not just happen. It will be seen, it will be heard, it will be felt across Ghana and beyond,” he noted.

He emphasized that the partnership would significantly amplify the event’s impact. According to him, the extensive reach of The Multimedia Group will ensure that the carnival resonates not only within Gomoa but across Ghana and beyond.

“Through television, radio and digital platforms this partnership will ensure that the young artistes in the Central Region will be seen nationwide, the food vendor will gain customers beyond Easter, the sponsor will gain visibility across the country, the community will gain confidence in its own greatness,” he said.

A Plus noted that through television, radio, and digital platforms, the partnership will provide nationwide exposure for young artistes from the Central Region, create extended business opportunities for food vendors, offer increased visibility for sponsors, and boost community pride.

The four-day celebration will include three days of musical performances featuring some of Ghana’s leading artistes alongside emerging local talents.

Chief Operations Officer of The Multimedia Group, Ken Ansah, pledged the company’s full support for the initiative. He described the carnival as a major event with strong long-term potential, highlighting its prospects for job creation and growth within the entertainment industry.

“We will give our support, we commit fully to supporting this initiative, it is huge, it has a strong and great future, it has a future in the Gomoa area, but it also goes into areas of jobs and employment, and the bigger part of entertainment where we know that a lot of value sits,” he said.

Also present at the ceremony was Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, President of the Ghana Journalists Association and Chairman of the carnival’s organizing committee. He assured attendees of high-quality programming and meticulous organization.

Further details about the Gomoa Easter Carnival will be unveiled during an official press launch scheduled for February 28, 2026.
