#2025Budget: Betting Tax, E-Levy, Others To Be Abolished — Finance Minister

The Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has stated in the 2025 budget statement that the NDC-Government will abolish the 10 percent withholding tax and 1% Electronic tax.

“We will abolish the 10 % withholding tax, we will abolish the 1 % Electronic tax,” he said.

“We will abolish the 10 percent withholding tax on betting, we will abolish the electronic transfer levy, E-Levy of 1 percent, we will abolish the emission levy otherwise as nwisie tax, we will abolish the vat on motor vehicle as insurance policy, we will abolish the 1.5 percent of withholding tax on unprocessed gold by small scale miners,” he said.
