Celebrated Ghanaian actress and broadcast journalist, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku, has been chosen as an honoree by the Africa Business Heroes (ABH 100) awards for her steadfast support of the program since its inception five years ago.
The Africa Business Heroes is the flagship philanthropic program of the Jack Ma Foundation in Africa, dedicated to bolstering entrepreneurs across the continent.
Naa Ashorkor will be among distinguished individuals acknowledged for their contributions to ABH’s mission throughout the five editions, gathering in Kigali, Rwanda, on November 23rd and 24th, 2023, for the Grand Summit and Finale.
In a statement, the organizers expressed their “delight in recognizing the Broadcaster with Media General as one of those outstanding individuals whose efforts have impacted the program, propelling ABH to new heights through their unwavering dedication.”
Naa Ashorkor is scheduled to deliver a special address at the Grand Summit and workshop, where top entrepreneurs will engage in real-time competition for the esteemed title of Africa’s Business Hero and a share of the USD 1.5 million unrestricted grant funding.
Distinguished speakers at the event include Lucy Quist of the Bold New Normal, Fred Swaniker, Founder of African Leadership Group, NUSEIR YASSIN, Founder of Nas Daily, and a lineup of over 50 speakers with diverse backgrounds in entrepreneurship, business, media, investment, and the ecosystem.
Drawing on her extensive experience, Naa Ashorkor had previously served as a mentor on the ABH 2021 TV show, guiding the journey of the ABH 2021 Top 10 heroes to the Grand Finale.
