“It’s insulting to get momo alert from Ghamro” — Ded Buddy

Over the years, Ghanaian musicians have been on the toes of Ghamro to do all necessary adjustments to make sure they get what they are due when payments are made.

The latest artist to add up is Ded Buddy, who has even thrown away his Momo SIM due to that.

In an interview with Djqwequ on Ahomka FM, he narrated how he got pissed when he received his royalties from Ghamro, and due to that, he decided not to use that particular registered momo sim again. According to him, it’s insulting for him to receive GHC 158 as royalties from them.

“My last Momo received from Ghamro is GHc158. I buy pure water with such an amount. As an artiste, I do record songs and promote them with a good budget for Ghamro to send me such amount. I have even thrown away that Momo SIM. I don’t need their money. again. It’s insulting.”

He ended by stating that such a habit pushes away investors from foreign countries because they won’t get their investment back if they do that here in Ghana.

“When foreign investors want to invest in your music, they do ask for your royalty stats, and that alone pushes them away. Young artistes are not making money with their musical craft from Ghamro, and it’s bad.”
