Celebrated Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artist, Stonebwoy, is urging Ghanaians to rise above industry feuds and rally behind all local musicians.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen, the BET award-winner called for a more intentional and united approach towards supporting Ghanaian talent.
Stonebwoy emphasized that personal misunderstandings between artists should not become a barrier to national support.
According to him, beefs and rivalries are normal in the creative space, but they should never be used as an excuse to tear others down.
“We need to be deliberate about supporting Ghanaian artists — regardless of who is beefing who. These disagreements happen everywhere, but the focus should always be on pushing Ghana forward,” he said.
He further highlighted how other countries, especially Nigeria, have managed to elevate their music industries through unity and fan loyalty, despite internal conflicts among artists.
“Look at how Nigerians do it. Whether it’s Burna Boy, Davido, or Wizkid, their people support all of them — regardless of the issues between them. That’s the energy we need in Ghana,” Stonebwoy explained.
The “Into The Future” hitmaker also cautioned fans and media personalities against fueling division by picking sides in beefs. He believes such actions hurt the collective progress of the industry.
Stonebwoy, who continues to make waves globally with his 5th Dimension album and ongoing world tour, urged the public to shift their mindset and become more patriotic when it comes to entertainment.
“Music is one of the strongest tools for promoting our country. If we support all our artists the way we support footballers during the World Cup, Ghana’s music will soar globally,” he added.
